As a news agency employee, what amazed me about seting up this blog was the ease with which I could add news, as both text and video to my blog... it was quite scary!
At Australian Associated Press (AAP) we were always on the look-out for media outlets using our news illegally, mainly because we don't get any SEO benefits out of having linked traffic back to our many sites.
AAP is owned by Fairfax and News Ltd predominantly, and they protect their copyright "to the full extent of the law".
Free news aggregation seems to be the way of the future, though Murdoch has expressed some other ideas recently... Either way it will change the way AAP does business... big time.
